OPEN POSITION: Patient Care Coordinator

HOURS/WEEKDAYS: 40 hours per weekly
Qualifications/Job Description
The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for initial patient contact following the physician consultation. The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for the full coordination of all prescreening requirements for IVF and Third Party cycles up to the point where treatment is initiated. Once the physician has determined the treatment plan for the patient, the Patient Care Coordinator will be the primary contact for the patient and ensure all pre-screening documentation, testing, and consults are completed. The Patient Care Coordinator will work closely with administrative, genetics and clinical staff.
- Answer/return patient calls and portal messages and answer questions or forward, as appropriate.
- Schedule all appointments for blood work, semen analysis, FDA exams, uterine evaluations, genetic counseling, nurse consults.
- Act as a liaison with the business office as needed, creating greater awareness of special circumstances dependent upon insurance.
- Obtain proper consents for all treatment.
- Maintain documentation between physician consult and start of treatment cycles for administrative tracking purposes.
- Maintain patient’s records, charts and pertinent information.
- Manage prescreening checklist maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, Bachelor’s degree preferred or comparable experience in reproductive medicine.
- Medical office experience preferred.
- Third Party Reproduction experience preferred, but not required.
- Customer Service Driven
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective organizational, communication and computer skills are a must.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Hours are Monday to Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Weekend Rotation will be required.

Medical Assistant

Qualifications/Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant individual for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will educate, treat, and inform patients for their appointment. Potential candidates for this role should be excellent communicators who excel at developing and maintaining patient relationships.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Assist physician with patient care.
- Prepare patients for exams or treatment including taking patient history, vitals and phlebotomy.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Organize exam and treatment rooms.
- Stock and clean rooms as well as sterilize instruments.
- Answer phones/schedule appointments as well as general Administrative tasks.
- Perform clinical functions that impact patient care, patient flow and patient satisfaction.
- Communicate with patients regarding physician orders and instructions, patient medication, treatment plans and test results.
- Maintain Patient Charting, testing and flow sheets.
- Ability to remain calm and respond appropriately to all stressful situations.
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, and HIPAA compliance.
- Consistently model the organization’s philosophy of customer service
Skills & Requirements
- Certified Medical Assistant required.
- 2 years prior experience, preferably in the Fertility/ GYN area.
- Proficiency in keyboarding skills and experience with electronic medical records / Microsoft Office.
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA requirements.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other staff.
